More Than Enough

While spending time with the abandoned disabled kids at the hospital my Bring Me Hope team visits once a month, a thought came to mind that I think is worth sharing:

If you think your life is so messed up and you don’t have enough reason to live anymore…

If you think you don’t have or can’t find any more reason to be happy in life…

If you think you lack or have no means of achieving things that could have made life so much more convenient and happier…

If you think there’s no more reason for you to keep fighting a good fight and giving up or ending your life is your only solution…

Visit the poor, the orphans, the abandoned disabled kids or the homeless and you’ll see that you have more than enough reason to be grateful…

more than enough reason to be happy…

more than enough reason to continue fighting a good fight and move forward…

more than enough reason to live and make every day counts.

Life can get really hard, I know. We reach a point sometimes when all we want is to just give up and escape the pain or the hardships we are experiencing at the moment. Sometimes we feel that there’s not enough left of us to keep moving forward. At times we feel that there’s not enough reason to continue living.

No matter how difficult life can get, I believe that if we just look closely to the people around us, to the things around us, to what we already have, we will see that we have more than enough reason to continue living. We will also see that the world is not just about ourselves. Life is not just about making ourselves happy, content, or successful. They are good things we all deserve, of course, but life becomes more meaningful when we see and experience how the life we live touches that of others and makes them happy even for a short while.

Every time we go visit those kids, the smiles on their faces are always worth the long bus ride to Pingdingshan. The contagious sound of their laughter eases stress and anxieties away. The gentle touch of their hands brings an overwhelming sense of joy to my heart and soul. Time spent with them always warms my heart beyond words can say.

Here are some photos from today’s visit:
